Sherman Shi, Esq.

Sherman (Shengming) Shi has been licensed to practice law in the State of New York since 2005. His practice focuses on U.S. immigration, corporate and securities law, real estate transactions, and intellectual property matters.

Mr. Shi has extensive experience in business immigration matters, including EB-1A, NIW, L-1A, EB-1C, EB-2/EB-3, EB-5 petitions, family-based immigration, waivers, and naturalization applications.

He also advises companies on corporate and securities matters, including cross-border transactions and public listings on the Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges, and represents developers in condominium offering plan approvals before the New York State Attorney General’s Office.

In addition, Mr. Shi handles a wide range of intellectual property matters, including trademark registration, licensing disputes, copyright claims, contract interpretation, and litigation strategy.

Mr. Shi received his LL.B. from East China University of Political Science and Law and earned LL.M. degrees from Chicago-Kent College of Law and the City University of Hong Kong School of Law.

Cheng-Hsiang Liu, Esq.

Mr. Liu is a New York–licensed attorney whose practice focuses on corporate transactions, capital markets, securities compliance, and commercial litigation. He represents businesses and investors in a range of complex legal matters, particularly those involving cross-border transactions and regulatory compliance.

Mr. Liu began his legal career at an Am Law Top 30 law firm, where he worked on major capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings and bond issuances across international exchanges involving multinational corporations.

He later served as in-house counsel at an international technology company, advising on corporate transactions and cross-border business operations throughout East Asia and other global markets.

At Sherman Shi Law Group P.C., Mr. Liu advises clients on corporate and securities matters, private investment transactions, SEC compliance, and commercial litigation.

Fang Jiang, Esq.

Fang Jiang has been admitted to practice law in the States of New Jersey, New York, and Texas. His practice focuses on U.S. immigration law and cross-border legal matters.

Mr. Jiang has extensive experience in employment-based immigration matters, including EB-5, H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E-1/E-2 visas, EB-1 petitions, and EB-2 National Interest Waiver petitions. He also represents clients in PERM-based EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant petitions and related I-140 filings.

In addition, he advises individuals and families on a wide range of family-based immigration matters, including I-130 petitions, adjustment of status, consular immigrant visa processing, fiancé(e) visas, removal of conditions on permanent residence, and naturalization applications.

Mr. Jiang received his J.D. and LL.M. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Laws from Wuhan University.

Weina Sun, Esq.

Weina Sun, has been admitted to practice law in the State of New York. Her practice focuses on U.S. immigration law, real estate matters, and business-related legal services.

Ms. Sun has experience in a range of employment-based immigration matters, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, and E-2 visas, as well as EB-1 and EB-2 National Interest Waiver petitions. She also assists clients with PERM-based immigrant petitions and related I-140 filings.

In addition, she advises individuals and families on family-based immigration matters, including I-130 petitions, adjustment of status, consular processing, and naturalization applications. She also provides guidance on real estate transactions, estate planning, and asset protection strategies.

Ms. Sun received her law degree from Nankai University and her LL.M. from the University of Texas at Austin. She has been recognized as a Rising Star Attorney by Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers Magazine and received the Project Grant Award from the National Association of Asian American Professionals, New York Chapter.

Shuoqiu Gu, Esq.

Shuoqiu (Will) Gu is a New York–licensed attorney whose practice focuses on corporate law, commercial transactions, and cross-border business matters. He advises startups, emerging businesses, and international clients on company formation, contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and general corporate operations in the United States.

Mr. Gu represents clients across a range of industries, including restaurant, retail, technology, and professional services. He also assists international entrepreneurs and companies, particularly clients from Asia, with U.S. business expansion, cross-border transactions, and investment-related matters.

Before joining private practice, Mr. Gu developed experience advising businesses on operational and commercial legal matters with a practical, business-oriented approach tailored to each client’s needs.

Mr. Gu earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2015 and received his bachelor’s degree from Shanghai International Studies University in 2011.

Chelsea Cao, RA

Chelsea Cao is a New York–licensed architect and Real Estate Development Consultant at Sherman Shi Law Group PC. Her practice focuses on architectural consulting and real estate development matters, with particular experience in condominium offering plans and complex development projects.

Ms. Cao has extensive experience in zoning analysis, building code and ADA compliance, and New York City development projects, including residential, hospitality, and mixed-use developments. She regularly advises developers and coordinates with architects, engineers, and consultants to support project planning, regulatory compliance, and overall development strategy.

She works closely with developers and attorneys on condominium offering plan preparation, amendments, and project coordination, providing architectural insight into zoning, design, and development considerations arising in real estate transactions.
